Dr. Boykin served as moderator for the shoulder scientific section and presented at the North Carolina Orthopedic Association Annual Meeting in Williamsburg, Virginia. He reviewed all of the scientific abstracts in the shoulder breakout session for the meeting, facilitated discussion, and selected the overall winner from the papers.
In addition, Dr. Boykin lectured on the appropriate indications and benefits of the reverse shoulder replacement. He shared his clinical experience with those in attendance, reviewed the current literature regarding the reverse shoulder prosthesis, and debated appropriate use of the procedure.
