Dr. Boykin was appointed program chair for the NCOA 2017 Annual Meeting Academic Program in Williamsburg, Virginia. Through many months of planning, he and the members of the NCOA executive committee organized the academic program, lectures, and scientific session for what was an extremely educational meeting. This year’s meeting included subspecialty breakout sessions, education on the opioid crisis, information regarding physician burnout, lectures on numerous current changes in healthcare, and a talk from the 2nd vice president of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
The NCOA is a statewide membership organization dedicated to serving the orthopedic profession, representing patients interests and advancing musculoskeletal health. The NCOA comprises the largest membership of Orthopedic Surgeons in the state of North Carolina (NCOA)
