Dr. Robert Boykin of EmergeOrtho, Blue Ridge Division was an associate instructor at the October AANA Hip Arthroscopy Course title “Basic Principles of Hip Arthroscopy: The Road from Injury to Rehabilitation”. He lectured on Hip Instability and instructed in the lab section of the course.

The AANA course was held at the Orthopedic Learning Center in Rosement, IL  as is designed to allow practicing surgeons to come and learn advanced techniques in arthroscopic (minimally invasive surgery).

Dr. Marc Philippon was the course chairman and is pictured here with Dr. Boykin in the lab. Dr. Boykin trained with Dr. Philippon as a fellow at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO in 2011-2012 where he learned many of the advanced techniques in hip arthroscopy that he uses to help treat patients in North Carolina.
