Knee Conditions

Knee injuries are among some of the most common joint injuries in the athletic population. They are also quite frequent among the general population from participation in recreational sports (such as snow skiing, running, tennis, etc.) or through accidents (such as falls, missing a step and twisting the knee, or motor vehicle accidents).  Traumatic knee injuries may result in a torn ligament, fracture, or damage to the cartilage (including the meniscus).  Other knee problems, especially in those that are subjected to years of overuse, are at risk for meniscus damage, cartilage defects, and degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis. Dr. Boykin is skilled to accurately diagnose and treat a number of knee conditions. If a surgery is recommended, you can depend on his entire team to offer the best care and approach to treat and manage your injury.
